First.

Wait.....Tanner, just the other day you said that DeAngelo is a lock for the second pairing, and now three days later you say that the chances he makes the team are non-existent.

HUH? Share with us all of your new information, please.

The other day you liked these signings....both of them. Now, you have had some epiphany that these are terrible signings.

Maybe, before you posted that first article a few days ago, you should have actually given some thought to what you wrote. Today, you actually made more sense, IF, and this is a very big if, you hadn't written the opposite three days back.

Yikes.

James my man how you feeling today dawg?

the 1 year deal i like, long term not so much. Don/t think he warranted that type of deal. Also a case of they may need to move to another team to find success.

Slight apology required....I posted my article before reading your final line where you admit that you still like these streets signings.

That still doesn't forgive the DeAngelo flip.....that kind of thing is something that a 'professional' would not do to himself.

While these moves were unspectacular Arizona is not yet a destination that's going to draw big names in free agency unless ridiculous over pay is in order. In a trade for a premiere defenseman with all the young prospects Arizona has I'm sure the other team will be asking for a kings ransom. They made good moves to continue to make small improvements. They will live or die by how their prospects develop. So idk exactly what you were expecting or what you could speculate they should do

No I did not. It is extremely annoying if you think that is what I said.

Again, I did not "like" anything. I wrote why they were good ideas. Now I am writing about the downside.

Do you understand that things can be complicated? That they should be looked at from different angles? I realize that's a really, really complicated thing to accept, but come on.

I hope your post is a brilliant send-up of message board culture. Otherwise, I fear for the children.

Hi James, great work as always. But you said in the blog that Chychrun not making the team would be boring? You it's rather rare that D-man go straight from the CHL to the NHL from their draft year correct? Ok, bye.

Please explain to the world then, how you had DeAngelo in the second pairing thtee days ago, and then today are saying that it will be next to impossible for him to make the roster? I commented in that other blog saying that there was ZERO chance he would/could be slotted in on the second pairing so frivolously. Dude, you make no sense.

I understand that you have a large following BECAUSE you do poop like this. Frankly, I think you may do it on purpose to ensure that you get people commenting, but it is completely ridiculous.

When somebody challenges you, MAYBE, just MAYBE you should actually talk about the issue they brought up instead is just being dismissive with crap like 'unbelievable' and 'expected'. The way you defend yourself is 'unbelievable and expected'. Just be BETTER and people will stop questioning you.

No, he did not have one of them shipped out.

This was in his article of three days ago. The same article where he was discussing the two signings (albeit less focus on the Stone deal).

I asked him how he was so sure that a young dman that was a healthy scratch in the AHL 8 times last year, who his coaches have issues with, who was dealt by an excellent organization with a major need of a player like DeAngelo could automatically be slotted in on the second pairing.

Of course he did not answer the question.

And today, he says that his chances of making it are non-existent.

What changed?? Nothing. He must have clearly forgotten what his brain was just telling him a few days back.

All I was looking for was some real insight into his thoughts the other day.....and then today he completely changed his direction.

And he thinks that I am off-base. *shakes his head in wonderment*

I suggested the other day that Deangelo was an option to make the team if they wanted to use Stone and Murphy as trade chips. Then the team re signed both players. So I have to look at the team realistcally as real world facts present themselves.

Not sure how this is contriversial.

?

All respect to people that change their mind, or that can be swayed by a good argument, BUT, that didn't happen here. He changed his mind with no new information and is now misrepresenting the context of his last article.

In no way did he ever talk about 'if they move these guys they could look at DeAngelo on the second pairing', he stated that next year DeAngelo will be in their second pairing.

If you want to defend him, you should understand what the context is and not just blindly defend him.

I may be reasonably new to this site, but you will notice that I have never had one negative thing to say about any blogger. I appreciate the time they take and whether or not I agree with them, I am still happy they do it.

Tanner makes that difficult. He contradicts himself in almost every article, he is pig headed about being right and frankly, I think he is just looking for attention. Nobody could be this bad without it being on purpose. If that is the case, if he wants to be controversial, then I give it to him....he is great at his job.

Dollars to donuts Dollars2Donuts has no life.

Dude, just write your hockey manifesto and post it here when you come out of your cabin. You seem awfully mad at a blog. To fans, hockey should be for fun, not strokes. You appear to be having none of the former, and headed for the latter. Just chill.

Tanner, you keep talking about the team being good this year. But I'm pretty sure the plan is for it to be good in three years, when the Tempe arena opens.

Reference: "The Arizona Coyotes have identified a location for a new arena in the Phoenix area but expect to be playing at Gila River Arena in Glendale through the 2018-19 season, President and CEO Anthony LeBlanc said Friday in Buffalo ahead of the NHL draft...."

I know you don't want to waste OEL's prime. But I don't see what other choice they really have right now. However, they still haven't settled on what they're going to do, or where they're moving.

Wait until OEL signs with Oilers and they completely their dynasty. The string of blogs from Tanner is going to be good.
